Saw this Friday night. Fantastic.

I feel kinda sorry for you, PJ, living in an area where many have gone nuts for Palin. Up here, the Palin admirers are much fewer and far between.

That's why I'm here to put some frowns on faces with my oppositions. These people wouldn't vote Democrat if Jesus came down, performed a miracle, and proclaimed he truly is and was a Liberal. I can talk to them until I'm blue in the face, they nod their heads at all the unpopular positions their guys support, and they'll still vote for them.

Do they realize the likelihood of Obama being elected? Do they feel it will be the end of the world? I'm curious.

Here's the overwhelming vibes you get here outside of the downtown Augusta area which does slightly favor Democrats: I'm a Christian and vote Pro-Life. If a Democrat is elected, they'll put another liberal justice on the Supreme Court (yeah, one who doesn't deface the Constitution -- 4th and 14th amendments in particular). Democrats will raise my taxes. Actually, they don't. Clinton raised taxes in his first year of office and that was it. Bush and Repubs. spend enormous amounts of money on the military industrial complex, oil companies, silly monuments (earmarks), and everything that doesn't benefit the common good. Education isn't a priority despite Conservatives claims it is. Georgia has been at the bottom for test scores and Adequate Yearly Progress Reports since I've lived here. Bottom line and ad nauseum: What your taxes are spent on determines how your area will thrive or remain in the status quo. This area will stay in the status quo for attracting these businesses: banks, insurance companies, restaurants, car dealerships, and churches. That's why it was comical when I interviewed our city's DNC chairman and he point blank said, "College graduates won't stay here." For the time being, I'm here for my family and friends and realize I need to leave if I want a job that maximizes my potential.

One final note. Our city's government is divided along racial lines. The saddest truth is these officials listen to their neighborhood associations and churches first and think about Augsta as a whole last.
